Personality: Steven is pretty much your average guy.  He does his best to dress himself in clean clothes every day, but they may not be stylish.  He cracks jokes that are dirty around his friends and corny around girls.  He gets very competitive, especially when it comes to sports.  If he loses a game, he forces himself to run three miles after the game as punishment.  He knows that a scholarship is pretty much his only way out of this town and it won’t be for his academics.  When it comes to love he can be viciously jealous.  He doesn’t like his girl to have male friends or even speak to them.  He often times sees them flirting with guys but…it’s just all in his head.  Because of this dark side, he’s found it hard to get a date; he’s just got too bad of a reputation.

Family: He comes from a very large family.  His father, Perry, is an accountant and his mother, Beverly, is a stay at home mom.  She’s had five children and Steven is the youngest.  His father pushed him from a very young age to excel at sports.  He has never really had a choice about whether to play.  He’s had to play through injuries and even purposefully would place himself in a position on the soccer field to get hurt.  He’s never done anything severe enough to get benched.  His drive to succeed and win comes from a deep rooted desire not to disappoint his father…and of course to live up to the family name.  His oldest brother, Derrick, is now 27.  He graduated from Harvard with a law degree and is pretty cocky about being their father’s favorite.  His sister Brenda (20) and her twin sister April (20) live in New York and attend NYU and the Fashion Institute respectively.  Jimmy (19), is the only member of his family that he is actually close to.  He lives at home still and goes to community college.  He admires the way that Jimmy has sort of ignored their father and chosen his own path.  Steven wishes that he could be as bold.
