Honestly, we here at Cabrillo Bay would like to omit with the rules, but you know we tend to break them. With that said the mods think it’s safe for use to at least have a few rules so that we can say we told you so or so that you might know what you’re getting into when you join here. So without further ado, please read the following rules.

•One liners are not permitted. We know you’re capable of writing at least one detailed paragraph. If you’re having trouble thinking of something to write, you could always write down your character(s) thoughts, what the surrounding area is like, the weather, and describing what they are wearing are good ways of expanding your post. Key point: Try to at least match the post you’re replying to.

• All posts should be written in third person also known as storybook format.

Example: Alexia gaze moved around the building slowly, her eyes transfixed on the decorations then they dipped to the people already inside dressed beautifully. She could barely contain her excitement as she looked at Brandon who was spinning around showing off his wings. A smile tugged her lips, “They look great.” She murmured, but she had to admit that he looked very handsome in his tuxedo. Jackson looked just as handsome with Melissa and well she just looked ravishing. Peering down into the box, she too picked up a pair of horns with the ecstatic headband that matched the color of her dress. “I don’t know...” She trailed in response to getting her horns glued on. She looked at the band and wondered how she would put it on without messing up her hair. “Hmm…Maybe getting them glued might work better.”

• Avoid Mary Sues and Mr. Perfects at all costs. What fun would there be if everybody was a sweetheart and everybody was lovable? Be creative! Have fun with your character(s), make something about them stand out. Assholes, Bullies, Jerks, Pricks, and etc are welcomed. Flaws are welcomed; no characters with flaws are loved!

• Character limit is 4 at the moment! If you’re picking two characters then its okay to play two girls, but if you’re picking three characters then the ratio is 2:1 and if it’s four then the ratio is 3:1. If you like playing guys over girls then we have no problem with you playing up to 4 guys. It’s just that most members join and play all girls, leaving only a few guys which is no fun.

• Popularity, this is one of the biggest problems in any high school RPG group. Why is it that everybody likes playing popular guys and girls? What about the normal kids or the geeks or the outcast? Here you can play at most two popular characters. Try something new. You might find you like it.

• Rich characters, another one of those big problems in any high school RPG group. We get it, being rich is a lot of fun, but there are more middle classes and lower classes needed to even out the group. The Mods decide who gets admitted into Maylands, Jackson Hills, and Lexington Garden. We want variety and the only way we can see getting that is to set up standards for who can get into these places.

• We do not want to see an invasion of new students. Foreign exchange students are welcomed, but someone moving from Los Angeles to Cabrillo Bay without sound reasoning will not be welcomed. If you need help finding a way to get friends and establish a new character into the group use the OCC board. It is there for that reason as well as other reasons of course.

• Do not control another person characters, unless otherwise given by the person you are gaming with. Also, your character is not physic so avoid it at all cost, that irks a lot of people and tends to make role-playing a drag.

• Be mature, keep everything that is out of character as it should be, out of character and everything in character the same. Don’t harass other members of the game. Threatening other members is a sure way to get you kicked and banned from the group. Remember, everybody is here to enjoy themselves. You wouldn’t want anyone harassing you so don’t do it to them.

• Posting requirements, at least two times a day and at least three days a week is what we require, but we know life sometimes have plans for us, therefore, we can’t get to the computer and post. That is understandable and acceptable; however, if you’re going to be away for a long period of time send a message to the MODS email stating your leave of absent and we’ll mark your characters accordingly. S-Suspended, means that the character is on LOA and cannot be taken.

•Time changes will be done on Sunday of every week with before school, school time, after school, and evening during the weekdays. School time (consists of classes and lunch) and after school activities should be written on the SHHS board. Before school (consists of getting ready for school, picking up friends for school, etc) and evenings (consists of hanging out with friends, doing homework, going to work, etc.) During the weekends the time goes AM (Meaning 6am-11am), Afternoon (Meaning 12pm-5pm), and Evening (6pm-until early dawn). There will be times when a certain slot would go for two weeks instead of one. We will let you know when that time arrives. Also days are played out as this: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and then Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. After Saturday we skip one week then it starts all over again.

 Remember: The only time you are to post on the SHHS board is if your character is on the school campus. All other posting activities should be done on be Cabrillo board.

• HAVE FUN, it’s the last rule and the one we hold dear to our hearts! This group was made for the purpose of having fun. We want everybody to be able to kick off their shoes, relax, and role-play until your little hearts are content.

Note that we have a three strikes you’re out policy that goes for any other rules listed above that are broken. The first strike against you will be a warning from the mod. The second strike will be you being placed on moderation and the third strike means being removed from the game.
