Personality: If you want a girl with S.P.I.R.I.T then it's Melanie Carter. She takes on every task she is given head on with true passion, and always a wide smile on her face. Because she is rather bubbly, often giggling at other people's jokes or in general rather happy most people believe her to be just a stereotypical dumb blonde cheerleader who can only get an idea when twirling her hair around her finger. In truth she is just a naturally happy, sociable person who loves to have fun with her friends; and intelligent (though she's not about to win any Nobel prizes).

Family: Angela Carter (Mother), Brian Carter (Father), Spencer Carter (Brother, 13-years-old), Pepper (Dog, 3-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel).

Despite moving to Cabrillo Island in the middle of the school year when she was eight, due to her sociable nature and eagerness to meet people, she was easily able too settle in as though she were born on the island. She comes from a safe loving home, and is closer too her parents then most teenagers are which has allowed them to feel more safe in trusting her to stay out late, or go to parties and not do anything stupid. Though she adores her parents, Melanie and her younger brother have a love hate relationship - They love to play tricks and pranks on each other, and hate trying to play nice. Melanie simply refers to Spencer as 'the spawn of all evil', and though it seems the two hate each other the truth is, name-calling and pranks are their way of showing they care.

Other little facts: Melanie has been dancing since she was four and loves all forms of it. Being a natural dancer, if there is music going she'll often start to tap her foot in time with the beat without even realizing she's doing it. She has been known from time to time to go so far as to start swaying her hips and hands in time and not realize it till others point it out or join in with her.
