Personality: Kevin is a pretty mellow guy. In general he tends to be reserved, unless he's with Josh and Aaron or on the soccer field; then he is more talkative, perhaps even outspoken in the latter case. Though he can hold a conversation with just about anyone, the other party usually has to strike one up first. Kev can be shy around girls, especially those he doesn't know well. Some times he wonders just how popular he would be if he didn't play soccer, but then he'd rather believe that his easy going ways and good sense of humor are what got him where he is today. Contrary to what one might think Kevin isn't much of a homebody, unless he has company over or is hanging out with Kitt, then he'd rather be off somewhere doing something. He takes his role as a big brother seriously, and truth be told Kitt has him wrapped around her finger.

Family: Derek Anderson was a businessman quickly climbing the corporate ladder of his father's company on the East coast of the mainland. But he found the life dull and unfulfilling. He came to Cabrillo Bay on vacation and fell in love with the island, along with one of its inhabitants. Before his two-week stay expired Derek had decided to leave his life on the mainland behind him, and follow his dreams of becoming a pilot. He now flies for and is a partner in Channel Air.

Katherine Anderson is Kevin's kid sister. To everyone else she is Katie, but Kevin calls her Kitt. Their mother, Tracy, died due to complications from her second pregnancy.

Other little facts: Kevin is an artist; while he experiments with different types of media his two favorite things to do are sketch and paint with watercolors. He loves the ocean and can often be found either surfing or sailing. He is an A/B student, but isn't so sure what's going to happen to his GPA once he starts chemistry this year.
