-- DOMINIC DRAKE --

-- Played by Melissa --
Age: 16
Birthday: August 27th
Grade: Junior
Job: Stocker at
Save-Rite
Neighborhood:
Fairburn House # 11
Personality:
Since Dominic had very humble beginnings, he finds it very difficult to
pretend that he doesn’t have a conscience. In fact, he finds
that when he and the guys are out screwing around and causing trouble, he’ll
try to be the voice of reason. He’s very rationale and he
always tries to approach a situation by looking at all the angles and
finding what’s best for all…even if it’s not what’s best for him.
He’s very committed to the drama club and is fascinated by how it
allows him to escape his life and be someone else…even if it’s just for a
few short lines. He sometimes wishes he could be athletic but
he’s got two left feet and that’s just completely out of his realm of
possibility. When it comes to ladies, he puts on a big show
like his friends but in the privacy of a date or one on one with a girl,
he’s very much a sincere, attentive boyfriend. He’s hesitant
about sex considering his mother was so young when she got pregnant.
He would never date a girl that openly talked about what he’s like
between closed doors since he does in fact have a reputation to uphold.

Family: Dominic was born into a young family.
His mother, Claire, was just 15 and his father of course was some
irresponsible prick who left her on her own. After about
five years, she put Dom up for adoption and he completely understands to
this day why she did. They spent more days living on
streets and park benches than they did in an actual building.
She just wanted to make sure he had a decent life and he hopes
that someday, once he’s grown and in a stable job, he can seek her out
and at the very least get to know her.
He spent three years bouncing from foster home to foster home.
He was particularly petulant since most of the foster fathers
abused him or treated him as little more than a slave.
Finally at age 8 he was adopted by the Drake family. His
‘mother’ Karen is an emergency room nurse and his ‘father’ Gerald is a
mechanic who owns his own shop. He’s an only child but
they still make him earn everything he gets which is fine, he feels like
he owes it to them for giving him a safe and comfortable home.
Other little facts: Dominic has a pet American
bulldog named Simpson and he loves him to death. He’s had
him since he was about six and they are always spending time together.
He has been penning a play of his own which he hopes to convince
the drama department to put into production during his senior year.
It’s somewhat autobiographical but he would never really admit it
to the world. He loves cheese fries, girls that smell like
flowers (especially lavender) and stoner comedies.
